Aims and Values
Our School Aims
- To maintain our warm, welcoming, caring, happy school community in which all members are valued and feel a sense of personal achievement.
- To promote the highest academic standards in all aspects of the curriculum
- For staff to provide high standards of teaching across the curriculum and to be reflective practitioners constantly striving to improve practice
- To promote good communication throughout the whole school community
- For the school, parents and community to be involved in working alongside each other educating our children and where appropriate ourselves.
Our Values
At Windrush Charlton, our values are at the heart of everything we do. Following consultation with our pupils, parents, staff, governors and wider school community, we identified five core values that reflect the qualities we want all children to develop during their time with us.
These values guide how we learn, work and treat one another. They help us to create a school where everyone feels safe, happy, respected and valued, and where every child has a strong sense of belonging.
Through our curriculum, relationships and everyday experiences, we aim to teach our pupils to live out these values both in school and beyond, preparing them to be caring, responsible and successful members of society.
Our school motto captures this commitment:

Together, our values and motto encourage every child to make positive choices, show respect for others, take responsibility for their actions and strive to be the very best version of themselves.
